Our Team

Arbor was started by Brian Macuga in 2009. He is originally from Michigan, but grew up in Texas, Connecticut, California, and New Mexico and has an appreciation for our country’s different architectural styles. Brian has his Bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan and has 27 years in the industry. In his spare time, Brian spends time with his family, enjoys seeing live music, fishing and working with his hands.

Tish Macuga is co-owner and works on Marketing for Arbor.  Tish is originally from Michigan, where she attended the University of Michigan.  Tish and Brian have five children, who are very active in their schools and in sports.  Playing tennis is Tish’s favorite thing to do in her spare time.  She is an active volunteer in the schools and at St Gabriel Catholic Church.

Our Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Jeff Jernigan, is originally from the Dakotas but has been in Charlotte since 2013.  He started his career in Infrastructure  Engineering but has been focusing on land development and residential construction for the last 10 years.  Jeff’s hobbies include golf, motocross and hockey, and he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and son.

Originally from Chicago, Mark Hedrick has been in Charlotte since 1997.  He spent over 30 years in the banking industry before retiring in 2021.  We are excited to have him spend his second career at Arbor.  Mark enjoys playing golf, hiking in his spare time and has a passion for all things automotive.

Brian Macuga, Jr.  is from Charlotte and is a graduate of Charlotte Catholic and Butler University where he earned a degree in Finance.  He has worked for Arbor since 2015 when he worked summers in the field.  Brian enjoys playing piano and disc golf in his spare time.

TJ has been in the Charlotte area since graduating from Myers Park High School and studying construction and engineering at CPCC.  He has over 30 years experience in the industry.  TJ enjoys all things outdoors, hunting, hiking, backpacking and watersports.  He loves spending time and playing with his children and grandson.

Cathy Foster is Arbor’s comptroller.  She is a Charlotte native with 24 years financial experience in the manufacturing industry.  In her free time Cathy enjoys hiking, gardening and birding.

Jennifer is originally from West Virginia.  She was previously a paralegal and has been in the home construction business since 2006.  Jennifer enjoys spending her free time with family in the mountains and on the lake and especially likes finding ways to connect with her niece and nephew via gaming or video chat.  She has several “4 legged children” and enjoys volunteering for dog, cat and wildlife organizations.

Ryan was born and raised in the Charlotte area. After 16 years of experience in business distribution and customer support management, he went back to school and earned a degree in Project Management. Ryan is excited to now put his customer service experience to use for Arbor Construction and our clients. Ryan is married to the most amazing woman and has 3 awesome kids! In his spare time he enjoys working out and playing guitar.

Avery grew up in Charlotte and attended Myers Park and Appalachian State.  He enjoys golf and spending time with family.  He and his girlfriend are busy taking care of and walking 2 dogs and Mama Cat.

Zach was born and raised in Charlotte.  He graduated from the University of Delaware where he played lacrosse.  Zach is proud of his Navy brother and enjoys fishing in his free time.

Tate Macuga is a graduate of  Charlotte Catholic High School, and has worked for Arbor during the summer since 2019.  He attends the University of South Carolina where he studies Economics.  Tate enjoys playing guitar and writing music in his spare time.

John attends Charlotte Catholic high school where he plays football and lacrosse.  He has worked summers for Arbor since 2020.  John enjoys working in the yard in his free time and is a car and boat aficionado.

Molly Macuga is a rising junior at Charlotte Catholic where she plays tennis and runs track.  In her free time she likes to read, bake and workout.

Joe attends Charlotte Catholic high school where he plays lacrosse.  This is Joe’s first summer working for Arbor and he is enjoying learning about the business he has grown up hearing about.
