Arbor was started by Brian Macuga in 2009. He is originally from Michigan, but grew up in Texas, Connecticut, California, and New Mexico and has an appreciation for our country’s different architectural styles. Brian has his Bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan and has 27 years in the industry. In his spare time, Brian spends time with his family, enjoys seeing live music, fishing and working with his hands.
Tish Macuga is co-owner and works on Marketing for Arbor. Tish is originally from Michigan, where she attended the University of Michigan. Tish and Brian have five children, who are very active in their schools and in sports. Playing tennis is Tish’s favorite thing to do in her spare time. She is an active volunteer in the schools and at St Gabriel Catholic Church.
Brian Macuga, Jr. is from Charlotte and is a graduate of Charlotte Catholic. He is currently studying finance at Butler University. He works summers for Arbor, and has done so since 2015. Brian enjoys playing piano and playing football for Butler where he plays defensive end.
Our Purchasing Manager, Johnny Propst, has been in the construction industry for 22 years. He is originally from Zionsville, and attended Wilkes Community College BLET. Johnny enjoys riding motorcycles, fishing and spending time with family, he has been with Arbor Construction since 2012.
Our Lead Designer, Lisa Femrite, comes to us with 10 years in interior design. Interior Design is her passion that started as a child. Her parents built four houses before she was 12 and she was always mimicking them drawing floor plans and decorating her bedroom. Having worked with an architect in Chicago, assisting antique enthusiasts on European antique buying trips, to now assisting clients with all aspects of design she just enjoys bringing our clients vision to life. When she is not working on a design project, she is enjoying her four grandchildren, family and friends.
Tate Macuga is a graduate of Charlotte Catholic High School, and has worked for Arbor for three summers. He attends the University of South Carolina where he studies Economics. Tate enjoys playing guitar and writing music in his spare time.
